1. Mental Health, Substance Abuse & Victimization: Treat Co-Ocurring but

An article in Issue #1, 2012 of Child & Youth Care Forum discusses the interaction between mental health, substance abuse & victimization and suggests actions for treatment programs. Health promoting schools and programs can also create conditions and support behaviours that address all three problems. However, the fact still remains that we still need to separate these three and other issues for the purposes of prevention programs that address specific risk factors and specific behaviours related to each problem.
