  • A recent report on student absenteeism done for the Manitoba education ministry has cited health issues such as alcohol and drug use as a factor.

  • Reporting on results is a big part of a Manitoba education ministry policy and program guide on inclusive schools primarily intended for special needs students.

  • Early literacy, aboriginal academic achievement and education for sustainable development are mentioned in the 2009-10 accountability letter to school divisions in Manitoba from the education ministry but health is not explicitly mentioned.
