Excerpt from Health-promoting schools: a resource for developing indicators, (2006) Schools for Health Europe, Amsterdam
Ivana Pavic Simetin, Marina Kuzman, Iva Pejnovic Franelic & Nina Perkovic pp 85-92
On 22 March 2006, the Government of Croatia adopted the National Plan for the Activities Aimed at Protecting the Rights and Interests of Children for the Period 2006–2012 as the basic document for activities in all important areas of well-being of children, including education and health. The Croatian National Institute of Public Health played an active role. Parts of the Plan related to health promotion indicators. The aim of this summary was to create an overview of the current situation of health promotion in schools at the national level, focusing on collaboration and training. Data sources for the report included document analysis, a review of Croatia results from the 2002 Health Behaviours of School-Age Children Survey and a survey of school-based physicians.
